About Us

Jon’s Outdoor Service was founded in 2007 with one simple mission: to be the one place to get all lawn services with reliable, high-quality outdoor care.  Jon made the move on his own after hearing from customers about the desire for one business to get all lawn services.  Today, what started as a small, family-owned business has grown into a trusted name in lawn care, landscaping, snow removal, and agricultural services.  Jon began by offering personalized lawn care, quickly earning a reputation for excellence.  As demand grew, he expanded services to include seasonal clean-ups, snow removal, fertilization, and more, ensuring a comprehensive range of solutions for homeowners and businesses.  After years of growth in the lawn business, the company expanded in 2014 to include custom farming.

Jon was no stranger to hard work, after all, he was raised on the family farm.  When his father passed in 2014, he was allowed to take over the family farm.  This permitted him to expand into custom farming. Jeremy and Justin started out as part time and played a part in growing the lawn business.  Today they are full time employees that are vital to the custom farming business.

In May 2019, Jon’s Outdoor Service purchased Classic Auto Sales and moved the business from his home to the shop and office located at 3rd and Court in Beatrice. Currently, Jon’s Outdoor Service has two full time employees, Tony Gray, and BJ Miles, who joined the crew in 2024, as well as numerous other seasonal and part-time employees.

In 2018, Jon married his wonderful wife and partner, Steph.  Together they have one son, Jeremiah, born in January 2020.

In March 2025, Jon was approached by Kent’s Lawn Service to assume their mowing customers.  It was a welcome addition to their services and Jon’s looks forward to continuing the mowing services to these customers.
